Who is Re:Act?
Re:act is a peer-to-peer program where design students tackle a different road safety issue each year. Involved as a student years ago, it’s especially rewarding to now facilitate the Melbourne research for a second year. Insights from today will shape student briefs and guide campaigns that are relevant, resonant, and capable of changing real-world driving behaviours.
Seatbelt Safety
You’re going to want to buckle up for this, because today’s topic was seatbelt misuse. Hosted by Re:act’s Melbourne partner Transurban and supported by oOh!, we explored not just if young people wear seatbelts correctly, but what truly motivates them to make safer driving choices. The honesty and openness in the room was inspiring, and I cannot wait to see the Australia-wide findings.
Many Thanks
Huge thanks to Andrew Hardwick and Vic Rechichi for bringing me back, and to partner representatives Ishan Gangabada and Jennifer Rivera Gonzalez for their generous input and energy in the session.
