Project Description

At Swinburne, I was encouraged to tackle complex sustainability issues head-on. The challenge: Every 10 minutes, Australians dump 15,000 kilos of clothing waste into landfill. As a former fast fashionista, I was determined to address the environmental impact of my past purchases. The approach: I created Change The Pace, a slow fashion campaign using interactive caricatures—the “Fast Fashion Failures”—to engage users in their harmful shopping habits. These personas, along with supporting digital tools, helped users track their ungreen patterns
and discover eco-friendly alternatives. The result: A campaign that empowered individuals to make sustainable fashion choices and demonstrated the power of UX in driving long-term behavioural change. So, if you're wondering—I thrift now.
